Nepal Laws Interpretation Act, 2010,-
(1) of section 2,–
(a) of clause (j),–
(1) The word "and" at the end of sub-section (d) is deleted.
(2) Instead of sub-section (e), the following sub-section (e) has been placed:- "(e) In relation to any work done or to be done from 4th May 2063 to 30th January 2063, the Constitution of the Dominion of Nepal, 2047, Declaration of the House of Representatives, 2063 and to the Council of Ministers exercising the executive powers of Nepal according to other laws, and"
(3) After sub-section (e), the following sub-section (f) has been added:- "(f) In relation to any work done or to be done since January 1, 2063, it shall mean the Council of Ministers exercising the executive powers of Nepal in accordance with the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2063 and other laws. .”
(b) In sub-section (d) of section (j) after the words "from the 23rd" the words "up to the 3rd of June 2063" have been added.
(c) in clause (l) instead of the words “issued by Shri 5th Maharaj Adhiraj” the words “issued” and instead of the words “or the Constitution of the Dominion of Nepal, 2047 and the Declaration of the House of Representatives, 2063” in the same section, instead of the words “or the House of Representatives” Declaration, 2063 or the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2063" have been placed.
(2) of section 3,–
(a) The words "in the case of any other Nepal Acts" in clause (b) are deleted.
(b) In place of clause (c), the following clause (c) has been placed:- "(c) In the case of laws made from 4th June 2063 to 30th January 2063, from the date of verification by the Speaker of the House of Representatives."
(c) After clause (c), the following clauses (d) and (e) have been added:- "(d) In the case of laws enacted from January 1st, 2063 to July 7th, 2065, from the date of verification by the Speaker of the Legislature-Parliament, and
(e) In the case of Acts enacted on or after 8th July 2065, the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2063, as per Article 83, Clause (1) of the Act, passed by the Constituent Assembly and certified by the President.However, in the case of any punishable matter done or not done before the publication of such Act in the Nepal Gazette, there shall be no punishment according to such Act. (3) After section 27, the following section 27A. It has been added:- “27a. Existing laws shall remain in force until amended or repealed: Laws issued before the 16th of June 2065 and made in accordance with the current constitution and existing in the state of Nepal until that date shall remain in effect until amended or repealed.
